De Minimis State aid refers to small amounts of public funding that a business can receive without needing European Commission approval under state aid regulations. In the European Union, the limit for De Minimis aid is €300,000 over a rolling three-year period. This limit applies to all support received from any public body or institution within the EU.
If a company receives funding from Enterprise Ireland (such as grants like LeanStart, LeanPlus, and others), it is important to ensure that the total aid received does not exceed this limit. Businesses are required to disclose all sources of state aid to ensure compliance with the De Minimis regulation.
